Aerogel are the best insulation materials at ambient air pressure. They are used by NASA in space technologies. The most common raw material used in its production is silica. Aerogel produced with Levron’s Sol-Gel Technique is the lightest known solid matter. Aerogel particles can be used as additives for paints, stucco, plastics, cements and many other materials where they reduce thermal transfer, water absorption, sound, and fire. Aerogel particles are graded from 1 micron to 4-mm and can be formulated to mix with water based materials.
Aerogel is comprised of 95-98% air. Because of its porous molecule structure heat transfer between cells is at its minimum. Its heat conductivity factor is 0.016 W/m.K.

Aerogel General Specifications
- Super Insulation: Manufactured with Nano Technology, Silica based super-hydrophobic Kavi Aerogel performs between a heat range of -200 °C and +650 °C. It produces superior performance compared to conventional insulation materials.
- Super Hydrophobic: Surface contact angle is 165 degrees. Water and humidity do not affect the heat insulation performance. Hydrophobic attributes perform up to 650 °C
- Soundproofing Feature: Reduces sound transmission.
- Fire Resistance: Non-combustible as per CAN/ULC S114, ASTM E136
- Translucent, which can be adjusted for the specific projects
- Thermal Barrier Feature: Thermal conductivity: 0.016 W / mK.
- Excellent energy damping
- Forming a vibration barrier: Noise cancellation for mechanical vibrations that have frequencies between 1000 – 2000 Hz
- More than 90% air
- High performance thermal insulation under any condition
- Oleophilic, it can be used to clean oil leakages, absorb heavy metals and dangerous chemicals. It can reused multiple times.
- Cellular Structure: 1 gram of Aerogel has a surface area of 700 m². Provides excellent filtration of nano-sized particles.
- Environmentally benign: Does not have harmful effects on human health. No harmful effects on the environment as waste. It is also used in the cosmetics industry to adjust skin oil levels.
